A terrace in full sun, stone warm underfoot, with pots of climbing wisteria spilling over the railing. White rose and Sicilian lemon cut through the dry air first, bright and clean, while narcissus adds a faint weight that keeps the opening from feeling thin. The flowers here are not arranged in a vase. They grow where they landed, slightly wild, and the scent carries that same lack of strict order.
Jasmine deepens the air as the morning goes on, but patchouli and vetiver pull it back from pure sweetness. Cedar gives the stems a dry, wooden edge, so the floral heart never turns soft in a way that asks for shade. There is a musky, animalic trace from the base that feels close to skin, and the ambergris lends a salty, mineral note that fits the island air perfectly.
Maurizio Cerizza composed a fragrance that stays in the light without flattening out. The powdery white floral accord sits beside the citrus and amber, and the whole scene keeps shifting between fresh and warm as the sun moves across the courtyard, the scent still changing near the stone wall
