The man leans against a brick wall outside a dim lounge, the streetlamp above casting a narrow pool of gold onto the pavement. He is waiting for a friend to arrive, hands tucked into the pockets of a heavy coat, breathing in the cool air that carries the scent of rain on stone.
Bergamot brightens the opening, but it is quickly joined by cinnamon and nutmeg that wrap the citrus in a warm, dry heat. The bark note adds a rough, forest floor edge to the spices, steering the blend away from anything sweet or polished.
Nagarmotha and geranium settle in the middle, lending an earthy, slightly herbal dryness that prepares the way for the base. Black musk and leather rise together, dark and textured, while oud and patchouli push the scent into a deep, woody resin. Saffron threads a faint metallic glow through the heavier notes.
The glow of the streetlamp reflects off the damp pavement as the leather and oud cling to the coat sleeves, a dark, spicy cloud that belongs entirely to the quiet night outside the lounge door.
