Our take

Minya opens with a crack of almond and pistachio, the green nuttiness dusted with a faint, almost cosmetic powder. The heart is where this becomes interesting: heliotrope offers a cherry-like almondy sweetness while jasmine slides in, pale and slightly indolic, adding a dab of floral tension. On the drydown, vanilla and salted caramel melt into sandalwood, creating a sugary, creamy base that feels more like a confectioner’s kitchen than a perfume counter. The overall character is a pistachio macaron left on a sunlit windowsill, its sugary shell beginning to soften, the floral notes a faint, almost contradictory whiff of garden air drifting through the open window.

This is unapologetically sweet and gourmand, leaning synthetic in that pleasant, candy-like way that many Dubai-influenced releases do. It is not an exercise in subtlety. The longevity clocks in at just over three hours, and the sillage sits close to the skin, meaning you will be reapplying if you want anyone else to notice. That makes it best suited for someone who enjoys dessert fragrances and does not mind a short lifespan. Skip it if you prefer sharp, green florals or any kind of restraint. Wear it on a warm spring afternoon or a cool autumn evening, ideally when you plan to stay indoors and simply enjoy your own company. After all, if no one else smells it, does it still smell delicious?
