Our take

The morning air in a wooden pavilion smells of crushed lime leaves under a stone mortar. A fresh citrus brightness rises first, sharp and clean, with the green bite of lemongrass threading through it. The aromatic steam from a nearby cup of tea carries a faint conifer edge that mingles with the lime.

Oud sits beneath the bright top, heavy and resinous against the lighter herbs. It is not a loud presence here. The wood feels dry and earthy, grounding the citrus without overwhelming the clear, spicy air that moves through the space.

Sunlight hits the polished surface of a dark agarwood chip resting on a carved plate. The oil on its grain mirrors the exact scent in the air, a deep woody resin surrounded by the lingering freshness of lime and lemongrass.
