Sweet Ylang
Fragrance notes
Character
Sweet Ylang is a fragrance for the quiet days when you want to feel wrapped in something warm without announcing yourself to the room. Manali Perfumes built this 2024 release around jasmine, ylang-ylang, and cranberry, and the result is a woody white floral that leans into its sweetness without becoming a sugar-heavy distraction. The cranberry adds a tart edge that keeps the bouquet from flattening into a standard floral blend.
The ylang-ylang takes center stage as the scent settles, supported by a woody backbone that gives the flowers a grounded place to rest. Jasmine weaves through the mix with a familiar white floral lift, while the cranberry lingers in the background with a sharp, red fruit brightness. Together they create a profile that feels both polished and approachable.
This is a scent for a walk under bare tree branches when the air is cool enough to make a sweater necessary. The woody accords match the feeling of dried leaves underfoot, and the yellow floral warmth sits comfortably against that backdrop. It fits a mood that is reflective and slightly formal, the kind of atmosphere where a soft floral presence feels appropriate rather than out of place.
The drydown reveals how well the wood and ylang-ylang hold the composition together, letting the jasmine soften into a gentle companion instead of a dominant voice. Cranberry remains a faint, tart whisper that prevents the sweetness from overwhelming the florals, and the entire blend continues to shift between its white and yellow floral facets as the wood keeps everything anchored in a calm, steady rhythm
