Ett Hem opens with a sharp bite that can feel abrasive if the skin is warm. The black pepper hits first and it carries a rough edge that does not soften quickly. Lemon tries to brighten the entrance, but the citrus here is thin and disappears before the wood has a chance to settle. Cedar leads the top with a dry, pencil shaving sharpness that some will find too stark for a casual morning.
Pink pepper and cloves take over with a gentle heat. Spruce adds a cool, resinous thread that keeps the heart from becoming heavy. The spice feels natural rather than sweet, and the aromatic quality stays clean throughout this stage. Sandalwood in the base is smooth and pale, offering a creamy contrast to the fir and the pepper without turning the blend milky or dense.
The waterfall note brings a clear, mineral freshness that sits close against the skin. It supports the wood instead of washing it out, and the powdery accord remains faint in the background. The scent stays near the body and maintains a steady presence through a cool afternoon without demanding attention or overwhelming a small room.
The lemon note lacks roundness and the opening feels unbalanced because of it. Fueguia 1833 composed this with Julian Bedel, and the result is a woody, spicy profile that suits a quiet street under grey sky or a heated room with the windows open. The thin citrus remains the one element that keeps the fragrance from feeling complete.
