Our take

Gálbano opens with galbanum that feels sharp and resinous. The green edge is immediate and stays present throughout the wear. Musk enters soon after and softens the resin without muting it. Orange blossom sits at the base and adds a white floral tone that carries a mild citrus brightness. The blend reads as white floral, green, and aromatic first, then musky and sweet as the heart settles. A faint animalic touch sits under the flowers and gives the composition a slightly lived-in feel. Soapy facets appear alongside the orange blossom and make the floral side cleaner. Balsamic depth supports the galbanum and keeps the resin from feeling thin. The overall impression is green and floral with a musky foundation that feels smooth rather than powdery.

The fragrance suits cooler days and evening wear when a green floral feels appropriate. It is composed by Julian Bedel and launched in 2010. The accord list includes white floral, green, citrus, aromatic, musky, sweet, animalic, balsamic, and soapy. Galbanum leads the top, musk fills the heart, and orange blossom anchors the base.
