Goudh
Fragrance notes
Character
Goudh opens with a bright, slightly tart lift from Methyl Pamplemousse and Mandarin Orange, quickly joined by the airy feel of Jasmine Sambac and Lily-of-the-Valley. The freshness has a polished edge, while Bulgarian Rose and Black Currant bring a darker, fruit-stained tone to the middle. Leather, Patchouli, Musk, and Ambergris give the composition its shape, creating a noticeable presence that feels composed and assured. Its longevity is long-lasting, with the richer materials staying firmly in place.
The real character arrives through Oud, Benzoin, Sandalwood, and Java vetiver oil. Oud brings a dry, woody depth, Benzoin adds a smooth amber warmth, and vetiver lends a green, earthy line beneath the polished woods. Picture a black leather notebook opened beside a bowl of citrus peel, with rose petals pressed between the pages. The effect is elegant, textured, and faintly animalic, with enough floral brightness to keep the darker notes from feeling dense.
Goudh has an evening wardrobe at heart. Fall and winter suit its warm woods, leather, amber, and oud especially well, while spring can work when the air is cool. It has a dressed-up feel for dinners, intimate gatherings, and formal settings, though its weight may feel excessive for casual daytime wear. People drawn to refined oud with citrus and floral detail will find plenty to explore here. The finish leaves a smooth, woody impression with a quiet touch of vetiver.
