Our take

The terrace lights are low, and a glass of cold wine sits beside a plate of dark berries. Nuit de la Tentation opens with a bright, tart rush of raspberry and rhubarb, quickly joined by the sharp sparkle of tangerine and grapefruit. Pink pepper adds a gentle heat that keeps the fruit from feeling sugary. As the evening continues, the scent settles into a soft floral heart where may rose and jasmine sambac sit on a powdery bed of iris. It stays with you through the night, moving through the air just enough to be noticed when you lean in close, carried by a base of Madagascar vanilla and tonka bean that feels smooth rather than heavy.

Cedar and ambroxan give the blend a clean, modern edge that cuts through the sweetness of the blackcurrant syrup. The musk wraps the entire composition in a gentle, skin-like warmth that feels intimate in this dim setting. It is a fragrance that holds its presence from the first spray until the early hours, never thinning out or losing its shape. The one drawback is the rhubarb and pink pepper opening, which can feel a little sharp and scratchy on the nose before the flowers and vanilla have a chance to soften it.
