Wasabi Shiso Edition 2016
Fragrance notes
Character
Sunlight hits the wooden slats of a porch where a bowl of shiso leaves rests beside a plate of sliced cucumber. The air carries the sharp bite of wasabi, not the heavy heat of a dinner table but the bright, brief sting that rises and vanishes across the nose. Yuzu adds a sour spark that feels like rind pressed against skin, and green tea lingers nearby with a dry, slightly bitter edge. Nothing here smells polished or sweet. The grass underfoot and the basil on the vine push their own weight into the blend, so the scent never settles into a single shape. Vetiver and sandalwood ground the picture without turning it dark, while a thin thread of incense curls through the greenery like smoke caught in a breeze. Bergamot and absinthe keep the edges jagged, and rose oil appears only as a faint, herbal whisper that refuses to bloom.
You stand there with the scent still moving around you, the ozonic air pulling the green notes in one direction and the woody ones in another, the citrus catching light each time the air shifts, the spicy bite of the wasabi returning in small waves that make the whole scene feel alive and slightly unstable, the kind of place where a single breath changes what you notice next
