Jasmine sambac and orris arrive quickly, the jasmine creamy and heady, the orris rooting it with a starchy, root-like texture that leans into the powder already suggested by the violet. It is a refined heart, more polished than wild, and it carries the fragrance smoothly toward its true character.
The drydown is where Unscripted lets the composition speak with real weight. Tobacco and leather take over, the tobacco leafy and slightly sweet, the leather smooth with a faintly worn edge that suggests a favorite jacket rather than a new one. Woody notes anchor them both, letting the sweetness linger without becoming cloying. The powder from the opening now sits beneath the heavier materials, giving the whole scent a vintage feel that suits a dimly lit room and a heavy coat. It is unisex in the way old classics are, offering enough floral softness to balance the rugged base. The tobacco keeps pulling forward, mingling with the cedar that never quite disappeared, so the journey feels like walking through a city that keeps getting quieter as the streets empty and the lights turn to reflections on wet pavement, the air smelling of smoke and flowers at the same time
