This is where the fragrance stops smelling like a straightforward citrus and starts behaving like resin. The base does not change the direction so much as deepen it. Myrrh and labdanum provide a dry, mineral warmth, while ginger adds a quiet lift that keeps the heavier notes from sitting flat. It suits someone who prefers a resinous, slightly smoky amber to a bright or tropical scent. It will feel too heavy for hot weather and too complex for those who like their citrus loud and simple.
