Galbanum adds a crisp green edge that cuts through the opening, while cinnamon brings a gentle heat that never overwhelms. Elemi resin smooths the transition with a clean, pale lift that keeps the start from feeling heavy.
The heart settles into styrax and labdanum, thick and golden. This is where the fragrance feels most grounded, a resinous warmth that clings to wool and coat collars. Haitian vetiver and guaiac wood give the base a dry, earthy structure, while amber and vanilla round the edges without turning the blend sugary. Musk and cashmeran sit low, creating a soft, powdery cushion that makes the woods feel lived in rather than stark.
Amyris bridges the wood and the resin so the entire composition moves as one continuous texture. It smells like standing near a lit fireplace in a room filled with old wooden furniture and polished floors, the air warm and slightly resinous from the heat.
