Our take

Gaia is a daytime fragrance for people who want flowers with dirt under their fingernails. It refuses to sit neatly on a vanity among polite, cleaned-up bouquets. The blend of jasmine, African orange flower, mimosa, and ylang-ylang provides a dense floral heart, but the inclusion of pine and lime blossom pulls the entire composition toward the garden rather than the vase. It smells of growth and sap.

The presence of French labdanum and amber adds a warm, sweet resin that sits heavily against the brighter citrus and rose notes. This is not a transparent mist. The hyrax and musk notes introduce an animalic, musky edge that makes the powdery accords feel ancient and slightly wild. It is a scent that carries the weight of the earth alongside its blooms.

Lord's Jester created a fragrance that feels at home in the bright air of a conservatory where the windows are thrown open. Sunlight hits the stone floor and the heat brings out the sticky resin of the plants. It is a setting that demands something natural and unruly, not a sterile office spray. The sweetness here is organic and sun-warmed.

Adam Gottschalk composed a scent that captures the feeling of walking through a dense thicket where the branches scratch your arms and the crushed needles release their oil.
