Vetyver
Fragrance notes
Character
Vetyver by Fragonard opens with a bright spray of grapefruit that cuts through the air immediately. Neroli adds a clean floral lift, while incense brings a dry, smoky edge to the top layer. The combination feels crisp and direct, moving quickly into the heart of the fragrance without lingering too long on the surface.
The middle develops with balsam fir and leather. The fir note is resinous and green, giving the scent a forest-like quality that pairs naturally with the smooth, slightly rugged texture of the leather. Peony softens this part with a light floral touch that prevents the composition from becoming too heavy or dark.
Benzoin and musk form a warm, amber base that supports the vetiver throughout the drydown. The vetiver itself is earthy and woody, carrying a natural root-like scent that stays present as the other notes settle. The overall feeling suits a sunlit morning in a city street, where the air is clear and the day is just beginning.
