Cosmic 2.0 opens with a pear note that seems plucked straight from a candy factory, all syrupy sweetness and no crispness, backed by a pink pepper that flickers like a match struck in a fog. The heart tries to pull things together with vanilla orchid and lavender, but these two keep stepping on each other’s toes, the lavender retreating into a powdery whisper while the orchid dries down into a generic vanilla-sanded wood foundation. This is a fragrance that wears like a plastic jewel glued to a phone case, glossy and bright at first glance, but with no real depth or staying power. Longevity barely clears two hours, and sillage hovers around a polite shoulder tap, which might be a mercy given the synthetic seam that runs through the whole affair. It feels mainstream in the most literal sense, a mass-appeal oriental floral that has been softened and sweetened until all edges are smooth. Best suited for a quick brunch in spring, when you want a fruity blush of a scent that doesn’t linger into the afternoon, but anyone expecting the cosmic expansion promised by the name will find only a faint, fading glow. Skip it if you want projection or complexity, this one is more of a scented hand cream than a statement.
