Our take

Essences 04 by Nuancielo opens with a bright spray of tangerine and cherry. The citrus arrives first with a clean, juicy edge, while the cherry adds a soft, rounded fruitiness that avoids leaning into candy. This opening feels lively and immediate, setting a tone that is cheerful without becoming loud. The fruit notes are clear and recognizable, giving the fragrance an accessible start that draws attention through freshness rather than weight.

The heart introduces jasmine and lily-of-the-valley. The jasmine brings a creamy white floral character that sits comfortably alongside the remaining fruit from the top. Lily-of-the-valley adds a green, slightly crisp facet that keeps the middle from feeling too heavy. Together, these flowers create a classic feminine floral bouquet that is smooth and polished. The transition from fruit to flower is gentle, with the citrus lingering just long enough to bridge the two stages.

White musk and ambergris form the base. The musk lends a clean, skin-like softness that grounds the composition. Ambergris contributes an amber accord with a subtle animalic touch, adding depth without overwhelming the lighter elements above it. The drydown stays close to the floral and fruity themes established earlier, so the fragrance feels consistent from start to finish rather than shifting into something entirely different.

The synthetic edge in the cherry and musk is noticeable throughout. The materials do not smell natural, and the ambergris accord lacks the complexity found in more expensive interpretations. This gives Essences 04 a straightforward, mass-market character that some will find thin compared to richer floral fruity releases.
