A narrow stone room holds a low wooden table set with a bowl of dried petals. The air feels cool against the skin, and a thick sweater keeps the chill away. Bulgarian rose rises first, soft and deep, its petals crushed rather than fresh. Violet sits beside it, powdery and slightly cool, lending a gentle haze to the opening. The flowers do not rush. They linger in the quiet air, steady and close.
Cloves appear with a dry, aromatic heat that curls through the rose. Patchouli adds an earthy weight, dark and slightly damp, while cedar brings a clean, dry wood that keeps the spice from feeling heavy. The floral side does not disappear. It simply moves deeper, carried by the warm, resinous air that now fills the small space. Each breath feels layered, the spices and woods wrapping around the remaining petals.
Amber begins to glow beneath the surface, smooth and golden, followed by vanilla that feels warm rather than sugary. The vanilla rounds the edges of the cloves and softens the patchouli's earth. The cedar remains, a dry line through the sweetness, while the rose and violet now feel like a memory held inside the warmth. The scent sits in the room like a heavy curtain drawn against the cold outside.
