Character
Oregano in a perfume is a gamble, usually ending in bitter herbs that smell more like a kitchen than a vanity. Here, it works because the bergamot lands first with a bright, tart lift that keeps the opening clean. Jasmine peeks through the green sharpness without turning the top notes into a heavy floral.
Carnation and cloves take over with a dry, peppery heat, while the iris pulls everything toward a soft, powdery center. Suede sits underneath the spices, not like a leather jacket but like the slightly worn lining of a wool coat. Cedar and amber hold the base together, giving the spices a warm, golden edge that never turns sweet.
The risk here is the oregano. It smells like fresh green stems on fabric, and that can read as sharp or even medicinal if your skin runs cold. Some will find the clash between the pungent herbs and the powdery suede too abrasive to enjoy. It is a daylight scent built for movement and air, but the opening is prickly enough to put off anyone who prefers a smooth, easy wear.
