Chancelier
Fragrance notes
Character
Chancelier by Yves de Sistelle feels a bit thin in its execution. The materials lack the depth found in more expensive compositions, giving the scent a somewhat synthetic edge that never quite disappears.
Bergamot and mandarin orange provide a bright, citrus opening. Black currant adds a fruity sweetness that sits close to the skin. Pink pepper brings a soft spicy lift to the top layer.
Lavender and incense form the heart. The lavender is clean and soapy, while the incense offers a warm spicy contrast. Vetiver, patchouli, and musk create an earthy, woody base that anchors the aromatic profile.
It smells like a tailor's shop where the lights have been left on too long, the fabric is polyester, and the windows are open to a city street.
