A fragrance built around this many woods and resins is not casual daytime wear. It is a deliberate choice for the person who wants to be noticed in a room without raising a voice. The opening makes that clear immediately. Grapefruit and Calabrian bergamot provide a bright, bitter spark, but they are quickly overtaken by eucalyptus, saffron, and three different peppers. The spice here is sharp and dry, not cozy, and it signals that this composition has serious intent.
The heart continues that weight. Damask rose and apple try to soften the edges, yet palisander rosewood and styrax pull the scent back toward resinous density. It never becomes a floral perfume. The rose is dark, sitting behind the wood rather than leading it, and the geranium adds a green, stemmy bite that keeps the sweetness in check.
Composed by Nathalie Feisthauer, the base is where the argument settles. Oud, Virginia cedar, and Atlas cedar form a massive wooden foundation, while Amber Xtreme, tobacco, and leather add a synthetic warmth that feels modern. Incense and labdanum drift through the drydown, supported by hay and ambrette. It is a thick, balsamic atmosphere that suits a stone courtyard at night, lit by a single fire and surrounded by cold air.
