The air carries the resinous weight of opoponax and elemi, their golden stickiness brightened by a cool, saline thread of seaweed that feels like the damp air outside. Magnolia adds a soft, creamy petal note that sits close to the skin, never sharp. Vetiver and patchouli deepen the atmosphere, earthy and dark, while myrrh wraps the blend in a balsamic warmth that feels heavy in the chest. Cedar provides a dry, structural backbone, letting the tea leaves linger among the woods.
As the moment settles, oak and leather emerge, smelling of worn furniture and old books stacked near the fireplace. Musk and sandalwood smooth the edges, creating a creamy, amber-rich foundation that holds the resin and spice together.
