It is woody and resinous, supported by the warm spicy accord that carries through the composition. The transition is straightforward, with the oud asserting itself clearly once the initial spices recede.
The base gives the fragrance its lasting character. Tulsi introduces an herbal, slightly green quality that interacts with the patchouli. That patchouli is earthy and prominent, reinforcing the woody accord while adding a powdery touch. Musk smooths the edges and contributes to the musky accord listed for this scent. The combination feels rooted in the oriental woody family, with the metallic facet from the opening occasionally reappearing beneath the heavier base. The limitation is the metallic note. It never fully integrates with the oud and patchouli, creating a sharp contrast that can feel disjointed rather than complex. Some wearers will find that metallic edge distracts from the natural feel of the tulsi and musk.
