Maratons (Marathon)
Fragrance notes
Character
Maratons opens with a crisp mix of tomato leaf, lemon, and mint. The tomato leaf brings a fresh, slightly bitter green edge that cuts through the bright citrus. Mint adds a cool breath to the top, keeping the entrance sharp and clean. This is not a sweet or fruity start. It feels herbal and vivid, like stepping into a garden where the plants are still damp. The lemon provides lift without becoming sharp, and the mint stays close to the leaf rather than taking over with a candy tone.
The heart settles into patchouli, vetiver, and lavender. Patchouli and vetiver create an earthy, woody core that feels dry and grounded. Lavender softens the density with a clean floral touch that bridges the green top and the heavy base. The composition stays aromatic and mossy throughout this stage. It carries a warm spicy accord that builds slowly, supported by the balsamic quality that begins to show as the middle notes blend together.
Oakmoss, sandalwood, and civet form the base. Oakmoss adds a deep mossy texture, while sandalwood brings a smooth, creamy wood. Civet gives the finish a classic animalic weight that anchors the green and earthy elements. The result is a chypre that stays woody, patchouli, earthy, warm spicy, aromatic, mossy, balsamic, and green from start to finish.
