Saules Stars is a fragrance for someone who wants a chypre that stays grounded in herbs rather than drifting into powder. The opening makes the case immediately with wormwood and laurels, two notes that smell resinous and slightly bitter, softened by a cool thread of mint. This is not a bright, citrus-driven entrance. It is shaded and dry, the kind of start that asks for attention instead of offering easy charm. The aromatic and green accords here feel intentional, pushing the scent toward a forest floor mood rather than a garden party.
The heart continues that argument. Rose and a general floral bouquet arrive, but the juniper keeps them from turning soft. The berry sharpness of the juniper cuts through the petals, so the middle remains upright and slightly austere. The floral accords are present, yet they never dominate.
