Our take

A white table sits under a pergola where the sun falls in stripes through the slats. Someone has just sliced a pomelo and a bitter orange, and the air carries the bright spray of that juice mixed with the sharper edge of citron and Amalfi lemon. Tarragon grows in a pot nearby, its green anise scent curling through the white floral lift of orange blossom so the whole space smells clean and alive. The scent stays near the person who is sitting there, moving just far enough to be noticed when they lean forward to pour water. It does not rush out across the yard, and it holds its shape through the slow hour without thinning into nothing or asking for another dab to keep it present.

The air is warm but not heavy, the kind of brightness that makes colors look sharp and near. Citrus and anise keep the mood lifted while the floral note softens the edges so the whole thing feels easy rather than sharp. It suits someone who wants to smell like they stepped out of the house already part of the morning, not someone looking for a scent that announces them from a distance or lingers long after the table is cleared and the glasses are empty, the peel still sitting on the plate while the light shifts across
