Our take

Fan di Fendi Extreme opens with a sharp, almost aggressive burst of Calabrian bergamot and Italian lemon, the citrus so bright it feels like a slap of sunlight on cold marble. But that clarity is a bluff. Within minutes, the heart swells with tuberose and jasmine, a creamy, indolic white floral wave that turns heavy and heady, dragging the composition into oriental territory. The dry down is where the real story lives: leather and vanilla wrestle for dominance, the leather smoky and animalic, the vanilla a sticky, powdery sweetness that refuses to be tamed.

The overall character is a woman in a leather trench coat who just stepped out of a garden at midnight, her skin still warm from dancing, her hair smelling of crushed flowers and stale cigarette smoke. It feels dense, sweet, and almost cloying in its richness, surprisingly natural despite its synthetic punch, and definitely niche in attitude rather than mainstream crowd-pleasing. The longevity is solid but not extraordinary, and the sillage sits close to the skin after an hour or two, which is a weakness for those who want to announce themselves from across the room.

This is a fragrance for someone who loves a fight between soft and sharp, who wants to smell expensive but dangerous. Skip it if you prefer airy laundry musks or shy florals. Wear it on a cold autumn night, to a smoky bar or a long dinner, when you want your presence felt without shouting. It is a leather glove lined with vanilla velvet, not for everyone, and that is precisely the point.
