Our take

Interval Noir opens with a clear cardamom note that feels dry and aromatic rather than sweet or citrusy. The spice sits at the front for a short moment before the heart notes take over. Cashmeran brings a smooth, woody softness that blends with the jasmine. The jasmine here is not fresh or dewy. It reads as a white floral accord that supports the warmer materials instead of leading the composition. As the fragrance develops, the base becomes the main focus. Amber adds a rounded, resinous quality that pairs with the oud. The oud is present and recognizable, giving the blend a dark, slightly medicinal wood tone that anchors the sweeter amber. The overall character stays warm and powdery with a musky finish that keeps the edges smooth.

The accord list includes aromatic and woody elements, but the fresh side of that aromatic impression does not come through strongly once the base settles. The powdery and musky facets dominate the later stage, which can make the composition feel a bit flat for those who want more contrast between the spice and the wood. The jasmine is present mostly as a floral backdrop and does not provide a bright lift. Interval Noir stays within a narrow band of warm, resinous wood from the heart onward, so it may feel repetitive to wearers who prefer a fragrance that moves through more distinct shifts in tone.
