The gallery is quiet, the air cool enough that breath fogs near the glass. A single stem lies across a slab of dark stone, its petals bruised and darkening at the edges. Oxidised Rose opens with that flower, not fresh and dewy, but heavy with age and a faint metallic chill that bites the air like a cold iron railing.
Amber warms the space between the petals and the stone. It glows with a resinous weight that feels thick and golden, pulling the sharpness of the metal into a slower, deeper rhythm. The air carries a mineral dryness and a soft ozonic lift, as if rain has just passed over a shoreline and left the windows misted.
Leather presses against the amber, stiff and worn, while velvet adds a textured softness that catches the light. A musky, animalic trace moves through the fabric and the hide, and a powdery haze settles over everything. The marine air lingers at the edges, salty and clean against the heavy materials.
The stone feels cold under the hand, the velvet warm, the leather creaking softly in the still room as the amber wraps around the darkened rose.
