Our take

Purple opens with a violet leaf that feels cool and slightly dusty, sitting on top of an amber accord that grows warmer as the minutes pass. The heart carries Ambertonic, a material that smooths the floral edge and pushes the scent toward a resinous, golden tone. Beneath that, Amber Xtreme and Operanide build a woody, powdery foundation that holds the violet in place without letting it drift. The composition stays near the body, moving just far enough to be noticed when someone is close, and it remains present for a good portion of the day once the initial spray settles into the skin. It suits a bright room with natural light, where the powdery floral notes feel clean and unforced rather than heavy or theatrical.

The amber here is loud in texture, not in reach, and the violet never turns playful or fresh. Purple feels constructed from lab materials that aim for a specific effect, and the result is a fragrance that stays consistent from the first spray to the late stage. It does not shift or reveal new facets, which makes it reliable but also a little rigid. The powdery finish can feel dry to the point of being flat, and the amber leans synthetic in a way that some will find too sharp for comfort. There is no soft landing or gentle fade, just a steady, unchanging presence that eventually thins out without much grace.
