Pink pepper and cardamom hit first, bright and slightly sharp, followed quickly by cinnamon and nutmeg that wrap the opening in a dry heat. This is not a heavy, resinous spice that sits on the skin like a winter coat. It feels airy, almost transparent, as if the spices were crushed fresh and left in the sun.
Vanilla bean enters soon after, but it avoids the syrup trap. Saffron adds a leathery, mineral edge that keeps the vanilla from leaning dessert-like, while carnation brings a clove-like floral lift. The blend sits close to the skin, smelling like warm skin after a long afternoon outside.
Palo santo and guaiac wood take over the foundation, supported by creamy sandalwood and a sticky touch of labdanum. The woods feel smooth rather than smoky, giving the fragrance a clean, polished texture. It suits someone who enjoys spice but wants it paired with light, floral sweetness instead of darkness.
The carnation and saffron create a slightly medicinal edge that never fully disappears. That sharpness can feel out of place against the soft vanilla and smooth woods, making the composition seem undecided about its direction. It is a pretty blend, but the floral heart clashes with the spice in a way that feels awkward.
