Vikt opens with a sharp, green slap of bay leaf that feels like crushing fresh leaves between your fingers while an antiseptic camphor note clears your sinuses. The styrax comes in warm and leathery, balsamic but never syrupy, and before long the agarwood asserts itself: not the barnyard bomb of modern oud blends, but a dry, smoky wood that smells like incense left to smolder on cold stone. The whole composition settles into a resinous amber glow, though the bay leaf lingers at the edges like a stubborn shadow.
This is the scent of a timber chapel in deep winter, windows frosted, the air thick with old wood and melted candle wax.
