Our take

Yseult is a shadowy walk through damp woods where fern and oakmoss grow side by side. The aromatic and fresh spicy accords give the greenery a crisp edge, while the earthy and woody facets ground the blend in cool soil. It feels like a floral chypre built for someone who finds most modern releases too polished and too sweet. The mossy character is prominent, lending a slightly rough texture that reads as intentional rather than careless. This is not a bright or sunny composition. It carries the weight of a garden after sunset, when the air turns heavy and the path ahead is dimly lit. Teone Reinthal composed a scent that stays firmly in the shadows.

The overall impression is natural yet slightly austere, which will appeal to those who enjoy traditional chypre structures. It suits evening wear in close quarters, where the aromatic herbs and moss can unfold without competing with a crowd. People who expect a soft, rounded floral will likely find this blend too stern and too dry for their taste. The fern note adds a sharp green bite that never fully relaxes into comfort. There is a certain rigidity here that some will admire and others will simply find unwelcoming. It lacks the warmth needed to feel inviting on the skin.
