COSMIC TONKA
Fragrance notes
Character
The door swings open and cold air rushes in, carrying the sharp bite of bergamot and the metallic heat of saffron. Inside, the room is dim, lit only by the amber glow of a single lamp. The initial brightness settles as Bulgarian rose begins to unfold, its petals dark and velvety against the heavy presence of oud. The wood feels dry and resinous here, grounding the floral heart so it never floats away from the skin.
As the evening deepens, the base reveals itself in a thick layer of tonka bean and amber. The sweetness is rich and powdery, wrapped in the clean, soft fabric of white musk. Oakmoss adds a damp, earthy shadow that pulls the entire composition toward the forest floor. It is a heavy, enveloping scent that turns the small space into a warm, mossy enclosure, the air thick with vanilla and spice.
The atmosphere is undeniably plush, yet the synthetic edge of the musk occasionally clashes with the natural depth of the oud. The amber feels a bit too polished, lacking the rough texture found in more complex resin blends. This smoothness makes the fragrance feel like a studio creation rather than a raw material discovery, leaving a slight plastic film over the otherwise earthy and sweet foundation.
