Grapefruit and aldehydes hit first, bright and slightly metallic, with bergamot rounding the edge. The opening feels polished rather than loud, a clean surface that reflects light instead of scattering it. Jasmine enters soon after, soft and slightly indolic, bridging the citrus to a resinous heart where myrrh and labdanum add weight. The resins feel dry and faintly dusty, never sticky, and they pull the fragrance inward so the scent stays near the body even as the hours accumulate.
Amber, tonka bean, and vanilla form a base that is warm without becoming heavy. The sweetness is present but restrained, sitting behind the balsamic resins instead of leading them. Powdery facets drift through the drydown, giving the impression of fabric rather than skin. The composition holds its shape for a long while, fading slowly and evenly, and the scent remains close throughout that span rather than expanding outward to fill a space.
