Salt sprays across the wood and mixes with the cold clarity of lily-of-the-valley, then white flowers drift in like foam catching the light. The opening feels alive and bright, a marine breath that carries a soft floral lift without turning sweet. Tuberose and jasmine soon rise from the heart, creamy and bold, while ambrette adds a gentle warmth that keeps the flowers from feeling stiff. Beneath it all, seaweed clings to the damp air, iris smooths the edges with a powdery touch, and vetiver drives a clean, earthy line through the center. French labdanum holds the base with a resinous weight that makes the salt feel rooted rather than drifting.
You stand with both hands on the rail, the gray water rolling in below, and the scent sits on the air like a garden built on the pier itself. The flowers are vivid against the brine, the greenery is sharp and clean, and the resin keeps everything anchored to the boards under your feet.
