Futuro Anteriore
Fragrance notes
Character
Mint and carrot seeds open the scent with a cool, vegetal snap that feels more garden than candy. The mint is brisk and herbal rather than sweet, while the carrot seed adds an earthy, slightly bitter edge. This green introduction is brief and serves only to lead the eye toward the deeper materials waiting underneath.
White amber and licorice take over with a soft, powdery sweetness that carries a dark twist. The licorice is not sugary but dry and rooty, lending a faint medicinal quality to the amber. It creates a hazy, golden atmosphere that feels intimate and slightly mysterious, moving the composition away from freshness and into something more substantial.
The base is where Futuro Anteriore settles into its true character. Leather and ambergris combine for an animalic, salty warmth that feels lived in and tactile. Sandalwood smooths the edges of the leather, adding a creamy woodiness that keeps the blend from becoming too harsh. It smells like a leather jacket warmed by skin in a dimly lit room, with smoke and wood lingering in the air.
Rosa Vaia composed a scent for those who enjoy their amber heavy and their leather unpolished. It fits a night out in the city when the air is cool and the plan is to stay out late. Wear it when you want to feel grounded, a bit untamed, and entirely present in the moment.
