Oud Argent
Fragrance notes
Character
Oud Argent opens with a sour, slightly metallic citrus that can feel sharp against the skin. The raspberry adds a thin layer of fruit, but it lacks depth and reads more like a surface detail than a true sweetness. Saffron sits beside the lemon and grapefruit, adding a dry heat that keeps the entrance from feeling bright. Once the top notes settle, the heart reveals a dense mix of rose and leather. The floral side is powdery and dry, supported by geranium and violet, while guaiac wood and cedar give the blend a firm, dry wood backing. Jasmine appears in small amounts and softens the edge of the leather without making the floral side lush.
The base rests on amber and vanilla, though the vanilla stays quiet and lets the musk and patchouli take the lead. Vetiver adds a clean, earthy root note that keeps the amber from feeling heavy. The overall mood is warm and slightly resinous, suited to a dim room where the air is cool and the lights are low. The leather and rose combination feels steady and composed, creating a dry floral wood that carries a quiet spice through the evening air as the temperature drops and the street outside grows still.
