Lune Noire

Lune Noire opens with star anise and clementine placed together. The anise brings a cool, dry spice that feels clean rather than hot. Clementine adds a bright citrus edge that keeps the opening from feeling heavy. Labdanum enters with a resinous weight that grounds the top notes, while hyacinth contributes a green, slightly watery freshness. The combination moves quickly from spice and citrus into something more rounded.

The heart develops gardenia and jasmine alongside iris and cherry blossom. Gardenia carries a creamy white floral tone that dominates the middle stage. Jasmine adds a softer, more diffuse floral layer. Iris introduces a powdery texture that sits over the flowers, and cherry blossom lightens the blend with a faintly sweet, delicate floral note. Together they create a dense, polished floral core with a distinct powdery finish.

Vanilla and benzoin form a warm, sweet base that supports the florals without overwhelming them. Tolu balsam adds a smooth resinous depth, and leather brings a dry, slightly austere contrast to the sweetness. The leather is present but restrained, allowing the vanilla and amber accords to remain prominent. The result stays within the white floral and powdery space, with soft spicy and anis accords threading through the drydown.
