Our take

Plum and rose open the fragrance with a soft, fruity lift that feels more velvet than syrup. The plum carries a gentle sweetness that does not dominate the early minutes. Turkish rose soon joins the top rose, adding a floral layer that stays close to the skin and does not shout across a space. The opening is pleasant and inviting, yet it keeps its voice low.

Patchouli enters with an earthy, slightly damp character that grounds the roses. The heart feels textured rather than smooth, with the Turkish rose lending a rich, slightly spicy floral weight. As the hours pass, oud and Gurjan balsam take over. The oud here is warm and woody, not medicinal, and the balsam adds a resinous, almost sticky amber glow. Labdanum wraps the base in a golden, balsamic warmth that lingers on the wrist with a steady, mid-level presence that neither vanishes quickly nor demands attention from the room.

The whole composition feels like a carved wooden chest sitting in a sunlit room, its lid slightly ajar to reveal dried petals and a small dish of dark resin.
