Character
Oud and almond sit close together here, the nutty facet leaning bitter before softening into something rounder. Sandalwood adds a smooth, pale wood presence that keeps the resin from feeling too dark. Black tea brings a dry, slightly brisk edge that cuts through the heavier materials.
Bri Beyer composed this for Damask Haus in 2022. The benzoin lends a warm, amber-like glow that wraps around the almond without turning the blend sugary. It feels crafted for quiet streets where the air is cool and leaves gather in damp corners.
The scent carries a stillness that suits a heavy coat and a slow walk past stone walls. It is not bright or uplifting, but it has a grounded comfort that asks little from the person wearing it. There is a sense of old timber and cool air in the way the woods settle.
Siam benzoin and oud create a resinous weight that lingers in the imagination as much as on the skin, a dense little world built from a few careful choices.
