Fragrance notes
Character
Bergamot opens the composition with a bright, citrus lift that feels clean and immediate. Vetiver enters soon after, bringing an earthy, woody texture that grounds the opening without dulling its spark. Musk softens the transition and adds a smooth, powdery layer that sits close to the skin.
Castoreum and civet define the drydown with a heavy, animalic presence that feels raw and unapologetic. Leather wraps around them, dark and smoky, giving the base a rugged, slightly worn character. The accord is musky, woody, and aromatic all at once, but the animalic notes are intense and unrefined. This is composed by Francesco Vitelli. The limitation here is the balance. The base overwhelms the earlier fresh spicy and citrus elements so completely that the opening feels like a brief prelude rather than a partner. Anyone who prefers a fragrance where the bright top notes remain visible throughout will find this structure frustrating.
