Iperborea
Fragrance notes
Character
Iperborea opens with a crystalline smack of lily of the valley and cyclamen, green and citric, as if a frostbitten morning is dissolving on your skin. The peach and mandarin add a fleeting sweetness, but the heart doubles down on white flowers, magnolia and mimosa, turning that chill into a powdery, almost soapy bloom. On the dry down, musk and woodsy notes barely anchor the jasmine and orange flower, which hover like the ghost of a linen closet.
This is the olfactory equivalent of a snowdrop pushing through crusted earth: pristine, delicate, and stubbornly optimistic. The fragrance is fresh and sweet in a whispery, clean way, natural in its floralcy but synthetic in its persistence of white musk. It leans niche in intent but mainstream in wearability, a perfectly pleasant splash that prioritizes politeness over presence.
And that is the problem. With a longevity of 2.74 and sillage of 2.66, Iperborea evaporates faster than morning frost under a weak sun. You will need to reapply, and reapply again. It suits the person who wants a fleeting, gentle breath of spring, someone who wears fragrance for themselves in quiet moments. Skip it if you crave projection, complexity, or anything that lasts through lunch. Wear it on a cool April afternoon, a soft sweater, a solo walk, and let it disappear without apology.
