Our take

Good Life opens with a fistful of green fig leaf and a squirt of grapefruit so sharp it could cut glass. Melon and lavender soften the citrus just enough to keep it from screaming, but the first impression is all nervous energy, a bright, almost ozonic snap that feels like stepping out of a cold airport into Mediterranean heat. Then the heart arrives with a lug of tea leaves and magnolia, oddly floral for a masculine from 1998, with violet and black currant pulling it toward a jammy sweetness that risks getting sticky. Pierre Bourdon knew what he was doing, though. The base of clover and sandalwood folds everything into a clean, almond-touched amber, more pressed shirt than leather jacket.

This is a fragrance that wears like a linen suit you bought on sale: pleasant, presentable, but never quite memorable. It’s a woody floral musk that reads mostly green and citrusy, with a faint synthetic sheen that keeps it from feeling natural or niche. The longevity is a disappointing three hours on skin, and sillage barely whispers past your personal bubble. That 4.36 rating might come from nostalgia, not performance.

It suits the confident guy who wants a daytime companion for spring picnics or a mild summer evening at a rooftop bar. Anyone craving depth, spice, or nightlife should skip it. One vivid image: it smells like the memory of a hotel lobby in Rome, bright and polite but already fading before the concierge hands you your key.
