Divin Aoud
Fragrance notes
Character
Divin Aoud announces itself with a sharp, almost abrasive citrus sting that can feel thin and screechy before the rest of the composition catches up. Lemon, lime, and bergamot hit the air in a bright, acidic rush that initially lacks depth. You are standing on a stone terrace where the evening air is cool against the skin, the sky a deep charcoal above the city lights. The initial spray feels like a cold glass of juice in a heavy-handed pour, sharp and fleeting in its first impression.
Around you, the scent begins to settle into the night. The heart reveals a lush, creamy fig wrapped in the soft petals of rose, ylang-ylang, and jasmine. It creates a rich, floral canopy that smells of expensive soap and damp earth. The atmosphere is thick with the promise of rain, the kind of night where the pavement is dark and slick, reflecting the warm glow of streetlamps.
The base takes over completely as the temperature drops. Oud and birch lend a smoky, tar-like weight, while civet and musk introduce a dirty, animalic growl that is impossible to ignore. Cinnamon and saffron weave through the wood, adding a dry heat to the mix. It is a scent that feels rooted in the ground, surrounded by wet oakmoss and the smooth, pale dust of orris.
You lean against the rough brick wall, breathing in the powdery, spicy cloud that now surrounds you, feeling the heavy resin of ambergris and patchouli cling to the collar of your coat as the night stretches on and the world
