Does a floral scent have to disappear into a cloud of powder to feel grown up? This release answers with a bright, green opening built around mandarin orange, lime, and hyacinth. The citrus is sharp and realistic rather than candied, and the hyacinth gives it a garden edge that keeps the start feeling alive. Honeysuckle and orange blossom take over quickly, supported by plum and jasmine. The fruit here is soft and dark rather than tart, lending a gentle weight to the white floral heart. Benzoin and amber in the base add a resinous sweetness, but cedar and musk keep the blend from becoming heavy or cloying. It smells like a woman walking through a blossoming orchard with a basket over her arm, the air warm on her skin and the trees heavy with fruit.
