Our take

You will not mistake Cashmere Aura for a cashmere sweater. It opens with a bright, almost sharp citrus burst from the orange oil that the aldehydes polish into something clean and slightly metallic, like a spritz of chilled soda water. That briskness fades quickly, and the heart rushes in with ylang-ylang and acacia, a dense yellow floral sweetness that feels less like fresh blooms and more like a dried potpourri sachet tucked into a drawer. The cassis adds a subtle tang, but it never breaks the syrupy richness. On the dry down, the woodsy notes and vanilla wrap around a clean musk, and the whole thing settles into a soft, powdery sweetness with a faint whisper of synthetic plushness. The overall character is a well-behaved, polite floral musk that sits close to the skin. Imagine a cashmere scarf that has been stored with a scented sachet long enough to lose all its natural wool smell and now just smells of vanilla and powder. It is sweet but not gourmand, lightly fresh only at the start, and firmly mainstream in its accessible, inoffensive composition. The longevity is disappointing, barely three hours before it becomes a skin scent, and the sillage is timid from the start. This fragrance suits someone who wants a cheerful, uncomplicated floral for daytime errands or a spring office, especially in cooler weather where the sweetness doesn't turn cloying. Anyone looking for depth, longevity, or a truly enveloping presence should skip it and save the cashmere for the neck.
