Capreae opens with a sharp squeeze of lemon and grapefruit that feels like standing near a tree while the peel is still damp. Black currant adds a dark, tart edge to the bright citrus, while fig leaf brings a green, slightly milky texture that softens the initial bite. Rhubarb contributes a crisp sourness that keeps the top notes from settling into something purely sunny.
The heart introduces Damask rose, but it is not the heavy, velvet kind. Juniper berries and pink pepper give it a clean, resinous lift, and davana adds a fruity, slightly herbal warmth that sits between the fresh opening and the base. Petitgrain and myrtle keep the green thread moving through the middle, so the rose never dominates the air.
