Lux
Fragrance notes
Character
Lux opens with a bright, sharp citrus blend. Bergamot and grapefruit provide a clean, acidic lift, while petitgrain adds a slightly bitter, leafy edge. The initial spray feels energetic and transparent, immediately establishing a fresh tone that does not weigh heavily on the skin.
The heart introduces black currant and rhubarb, bringing a tart, juicy quality to the composition. Rose sits alongside these fruity elements, offering a soft floral layer that keeps the scent from leaning too sharp. The green accord is noticeable here, giving the middle phase a crisp, garden-like character.
Musk forms the base, creating a soft landing for the brighter top and heart notes. It smooths the transition as the citrus fades, leaving a clean, skin-like finish. The woody accord adds a subtle dryness, though it remains understated compared to the dominant green and fruity facets.
Composed by Alienor Massenet and launched in 2023, this Brocard fragrance stays linear once the initial citrus settles. The rhubarb and currant maintain their tartness for a while, but the overall structure lacks depth. It does not evolve much past its opening promise, making it feel somewhat one-dimensional as the hours pass.
