Mr. Incognito
Fragrance notes
Character
Mr. Incognito opens with a bright citrus mix of bergamot, clementine, and petitgrain, sharpened by the bite of black pepper and the calm presence of lavender. The top feels clean and immediate, with the pepper adding a dry edge that keeps the fruit from leaning sweet. As the fragrance moves forward, the heart introduces mint, parsley, elemi, and basil. The mint brings a cool lift, while parsley and basil add a leafy, slightly bitter green tone that grounds the freshness. Elemi sits between the citrus and the herbs, giving the middle a resinous warmth that prevents the herbs from feeling thin or overly sharp.
The base settles into cedar, oakmoss, patchouli, musk, and the remaining trace of elemi. Cedar provides a dry wood structure, while oakmoss and patchouli add earthy depth and a faintly damp forest floor quality. Musk smooths the transition and keeps the finish from becoming too rugged. The overall character is fresh spicy, aromatic, citrus, green, woody, mossy, earthy, and warm spicy. It suits daytime wear in open air and natural light, where the herbs and citrus can breathe. The composition stays balanced throughout, with no single accord overwhelming the others. It is composed by Bertrand Duchaufour. The finish rests on oakmoss.
